Alan D. Leff, 80, of Athens, AL passed away Friday. Alan loved his home and family. He also loved animals, especially dogs and cats. He loved to plant fruit trees and have a vegetable garden. He cheered for the Mississippi State Bulldogs during football season.
Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Rueban and Vera Leff; two sisters, one brother and his stepson, John Eric Bates.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Leff, of Athens; daughters, Crystal Dawn Leff, of Huntsville, AL and Holly Carol Bell, of Kingman, AZ; grandsons, Kevin Moya (Gabriella), of Hollister, CA and Stewart Bell, of San Diego, CA; two great-grandchildren; stepson, Mark Bates (Geraldine); stepdaughter, Lila Bates; and stepgrandson, Blayne Bates, all of Athens.
Graveside services will be Monday, Nov. 23, 2015, at 10 a.m. at Ripley Cemetery in Athens with Rabbi Bahar officiating.
