FLORENCE – August 15, 2018 ─ On Friday, September 7, 2018 The American Legion Post #11 of Florence/Lauderdale County at 318 South Court Street, Florence, Alabama will host an open house from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. All veterans are invited to tour the facility and receive information about services that are available. Alabama Health Guidance, event sponsor, will provide refreshments as well as a hot dog lunch. According to Anah Fowler with Alabama Health Guidance, serving veterans is a privilege. “We are proud to help our veterans. They served us and now we want to serve them,” she said.
Post Commander, Bill Phillips said, “Our post is always open to veterans and their families, and the Open House is a prime opportunity for people to take time to check out our programs and visit the historical building.”
