MUSCLE SHOALS-Alabama Bliss Bistro located in Muscle Shoals, 1206 Woodward Ave. held a grand opening celebration on Friday, January 29. The Shoals Chamber along with many friends and family were on hand to help with the celebration. The Chamber helped with the celebration by holding a ribbon cutting and the folks from Alabama Bliss Bistro proudly displayed their wares. Of course there was plenty of great food to top off the festivities.
Now a little about Alabama Bliss Bistro:
“Alabama Bliss Bistro and Boutique is owned by Jason and Miranda Ball. A former public library director, school library media specialist, and coffee shop owner, Miranda began Bliss Bistro on the Go, a lunch delivery and catering service, in July at the Shoals Entrepreneurial Center’s Culinary Kitchen. As her business began to grow, she began looking for a place of her own. In the meantime, she was selling boutique clothing at weekend flea markets and festivals. When the building on Woodward Avenue became available, the design lent itself to both businesses, and Alabama Bliss Bistro and Boutique was born! Alabama Bliss strives to make its customers’ lives easier and more blissful by providing delicious, fresh made food as well as stylish, modest, and affordable clothing. The store also features jewelry, home goods, and bath and body products produced by many local artisans. When you walk in the store, you may notice that doors are prominently featured throughout the store. Most people know the “Follow Your Bliss” part of Joseph Campbell’s quote, but the entire quote says “Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors where once there were only walls.” The doors in Alabama Bliss symbolize both the doors that were closed and the doors that were open to allow Miranda to follow her bliss, and she hopes that her customers are able to follow theirs as well! The Bistro dine-in hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10-2, and the Boutique and to-go ordering hours are Tuesday-Friday, 10-6, and Saturday from 10-2. Delivery will resume in February, as well as freshly made casseroles and slow cooker meals that you can take home and cook for your family. We hope to see you all soon!”
As always the Shoals Chamber was on hand to capture the event in photos. We present them to you here:
