MONTGOMERY-The Alabama Bicentennial Commission is holding a grand prize drawing for Alabama Bicentennial PastPort holders who visited at least 67 of Alabama’s more than 300 historic sites.

If you celebrated Alabama’s 200th birthday by visiting every Alabama county with your Alabama Bicentennial PastPort, you are eligible for the grand prize drawing to be held on March 15, 2020.

The ALABAMA 200 guide encourages people to visit sites and have their PastPorts stamped to record their travels. If you have received at least one stamp from each of the state’s 67 counties, you can submit your name to the drawing for one of three prizes.

The grand prize is a stay at Alabama’s own Grand Hotel (www.grand1847.com ). Located in Fairhope, the Grand Hotel was named top historic hotel in the country for 2019, according to Historic Hotels of America, and has been a proud part of Alabama history since 1847. The prize package includes a round of golf for 2, a $150 spa credit and a gift certificate to use for food or shopping.

Second and third prizes include collections of bicentennial memorabilia, including the commemorative silver coin, and a selection of books about Alabama.

The drawing will be held on March 15th. To submit, follow this link to the form: https://alabama200.wufoo.com/forms/pqvtua009srtvq/. It will request your contact information and ask you to verify that you have visited every county and received a stamp.
