AJ Smith, 84, of Elkmont, Alabama passed away at his home on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at his home.
He was the son of Aaron John Smith and Vera Bailey Smith.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Judy Smith, sisters Annette Moon and Annie Jean Evans, grandsons Byron Campbell and Todd Lackey.
He is survived by his son Keith (Shirley) Smith, daughters Valerie (Jason) Whitlock and Gayla Smith Campbell, brother Danny (Ilene) Smith, sisters Diane (John) Terry, Wanda Neely, along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a visitation for Mr. Smith held at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home in Ardmore, Alabama on Thursday, June 30, 2022, from 12:00 noon until 1:00 PM with a Chapel Service scheduled to follow beginning at 1:00 PM. Mr. Smith will be laid to rest at Gatlin Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
