Aileen Underwood, 83, passed away Monday, July 28, 2014, at the Traceway Greenhouses. She was born January 22, 1931, to Travis R. and Fronia Cleveland Kent. She was a homemaker and a member of Union Chapel Church of God. She and her husband owned and operated Underwood Grocery in Fairview for many years. She enjoyed auctions and loved people.
Services will be at 11 a. m. Wednesday, July 30, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with the Rev. Kevin Balius officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Survivors include one sister, Sarah Kent Burcham (Jimmy) of Mooreville; a special niece and caregiver, Joyce Clouse of Mantachie; six nephews, five nieces, and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, O. D. Underwood, who died December 28, 1984; her parents; four brothers, Loron Kent, Ruford Kent, T. J. Kent, and Ruble Kent; and one sister, Pearlene Underwood.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Kent, Paul Kent, Terry Kent, Lyrie Kent, Tim Clouse, and Windell Underwood.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p. m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
