Agnes Pepper Miller-Smedley – Obituary

Watson-North Funeral Home is honored to be of service and ministry to the family of Agnes Pepper Miller-Smedley age 94 of Winchester, TN.  Ms. Agnes passed from this life on July 12, 2018, after an extended illness. She was a native of Limestone County Alabama where she attended Athen High School in 1943. She was born to the late Brents and Ellen Leopard Pepper. She graduated from AUB in Birmingham as a Registered Nurse. For many years she served as the Public Health nurse for Franklin County. She will be remembered for the fine meals she prepared and her expertise quilting. Those who knew who, remember the many awards she won as a master at quilting. Among those honors, she received many “Best in Show” for her quilts. She was married to the late James R Miller for 42 years. Mr. Miller passed from this life in 1990. She later married Arthur Smedley.  Those left to cherish her memories are a number of nieces, nephews and a host of friends. The family would like to extend a special heartfelt thank you to Southern Manor Assisted Living for their care and affection for Ms. Agnes and to Compassus of Franklin County for their support during her transitioning. Visitation will be on Saturday July 21, 2018 from 10-12, the funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon at Cowan Church of Christ 401 Willow Street in Cowan. Interment will be at Cowan Montgomery Cemetery. with friends serving as pallbearers. Bro. Dan Jones will be officiating. Online condolences may be shared at www.watsonnorth.com
