Agnes Faye Simmons, 77, of Alamo, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2026. Born September 8, 1948, in Gadsden, she was the sixth of twelve children of the late Richard and Mary Jane Lowery.
A devoted woman of faith, Agnes served faithfully at Hosley Chapel C.M.E. Church in multiple ministries. She graduated from Central High School in Alamo, TN and attended Tennessee State University.
She is survived by her husband, James; daughters Yolandia (Marcus) Hodge and Chandra (Errol) Thomas; grandchildren Maya, Jaden, James, and Noah; siblings Edward, Martha, Charlie, Mary, and Susie; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by siblings Emma, Walter, Katie, Andy, Johnny, and Richard Jr.
