Agnes Curtis Jones, age 86 of Spencer, TN, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025 at Ascension St. Thomas River Park Hospital. Born on August 15, 1938 in Brockdale, TN, she was a homemaker, a member of Bethlehem Church of Christ, Daughter’s of the American Revolution, United Daughter’s of the Confederacy, Van Buren Historical Association, and the Van Buren County Democratic Party. Preceding her in death was her parents Lester Villar Curtis and Zella Audrey Carmack Curtis, her husband William Stanley “Bill” Jones, and her daughter Teresa Jones.
Agnes is survived by her son James Leland Jones, brother James (Linda) Curtis, and grandchildren Mariah Madrid, Janessa (Walter) Goodwin, Jaclyn Sullivan, Zack Chaves, Zared (Tonya) Chaves, and Zenon Chaves, and 9 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service for Mrs. Agnes Jones is scheduled for 12:00 P.M. Noon Saturday, January 18, 2025 in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Terry Cope and Larry Bouldin will officiate. Interment will follow at Shockley Cemetery. Visitation with the Jones family will be held Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until service time at 12:00 P.M. Noon.
