ADPH seeks high-impact, science-based proposals for HIV/AIDS risk reduction, health promotion

The History of the Syndemic of AIDS among Gay Men in the United States and  the Failure of the Risk Reduction Strategy - C-Fam MONTGOMERY-With federal funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Alabama Department of Public Health announces a request for HIV/AIDS proposals from community organizations and other entities.
The Office of HIV Prevention and Care is seeking HIV prevention proposals. Sharon Jordan, division director, stated, “The purpose of this acquisition is to support prevention activities that prevent new HIV Infections, improve HIV-related health outcomes of people with HIV, reduce HIV-related health disparities and inequities, and achieve integrated, coordinated efforts that address the HIV epidemic among all partners and stakeholders.”
Eligibility will be based on a documented 501(c) (3) nonprofit or state government agencystatus and service experience. The deadline to send a letter of intent to submit a proposal is May 22, 2023. The deadline for the proposal is June 1, 2023.
