A Celebration of Life service for Adell Linderman Harvel, 86, will be Friday, February 22, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Sparks, Rev. Jimmy Jones, Rev. Shane Newton and Larry Culp officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, February 21, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Harvel passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at her residence. She was born October 8, 1932, in Morgan County to Ulan Gordon Linderman and Myrtle Odelia McDonald. She was employed at Prestolite as an assembly operator and time keeper for 30 years and then at Walmart in the fabric department for 5 years, prior to her retirement. She was a member of Walden’s Chapel Baptist Church, where she loved teaching the children in Sunday School and working with the Youth as well as helping with the Vacation Bible School. She loved her church family. She is remembered for her faithfulness to her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. The example of a true Christian servant. She loved to study God’s Word and she applied His Word to her daily walk here on earth. She loved her husband, of 56 years, beyond measure as well as her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook, loved gardening and working in her yard and loved to sew. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son: Steve Harvel, three brothers: Cecil Linderman, Charles (Buddy) Linderman and Donald Linderman and a sister: Jean Linderman Jones.
