Addie Wammack Sain, age 98, passed away Monday morning, March 20, 2017 at the Country Cottage Assisted Living Center in Corinth, MS.
She was born on Friday, October 18, 1918, to Allen Wammack and Carrie Vaughn Wammack in Hardeman County, Tennessee. On January 16, 1938, she married William Mayo Sain, Sr., who passed away on March 28, 2005. Addie was a homemaker and attended the Middleton First Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, riding horses, fishing, and crocheting. Addie was an excellent seamstress, able to make anything, including lots of clothes for her family. She lived all of her life in Hardeman County.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Christley(Richard) of Hernando, MS; three grandchildren, Anthony Kirk(CJ) of Westport, TN, Brian Sain of Middleton, TN, and Sherry Sain of Middleton, TN; three great-grandchildren, Zach Kirk(Meghann), Jacob Kirk(Alix), and Jessica Kirk; two great-grandchildren, Henry Kirk, and Harrison Kirk; and a daughter-in-law, Mary Sain of Middleton.
Addie was preceded in death by her parents, Allen Wammack and Carrie Vaughn Wammack; her husband, William Mayo Sain, Sr.; a son, William “Bill” Mayo Sain, Jr. and all of her siblings.
Memorial donations may be made to the Middleton First Baptist Church.
