Addie Lane Inmon Davis, 52, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2018 at her residence in Okolona. Born January 13, 1966 in Tupelo to the late Tommy Inmon and Audrey Dean Corley Inmon, Lane grew up in Okolona and lived most of her life there. She graduated from Okolona High School and studied nursing at Northwest Community College in Oxford. A lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Okolona, Lane was an office assistant in the rental business before her health failed in 2003. She was a delightful soul whose life centered around her family. She has a longtime caregiver for her Mom, Audrey Corley Inmon, loved her sisters passionately (often called the Inmon girls) and was especially fond of all animals including all her dogs and cats. Her dog, Buster, was her steady and constant companion.
A service celebrating her life will be held at 2 PM Friday, September 21, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Okolona with Rev. Dr. Randy Lewman officiating. Burial will follow in East Chickasaw Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from Noon-service time Friday only at First Baptist-Okolona. Holland Funeral Directors-Okolona Chapel is honored to be serving their friends.
Lane leaves to mourn her passing, her mother, Audrey Corley Inmon, a resident of Shearer Richardson Nursing Home in Okolona; her only daughter, Corley Beth Davis of Oxford and Ole Miss; her sisters, Janice Lewis, Judge Judy Posey (Tim), Ginger Holton Bean (Eddie) and her twin, Lynn Gaskin (Terry) all of Okolona. numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her dad, Tommy Inmon who died Dec. 2, 1999, the father of her daughter, James Davis and brothers in law, Frank Lewis, Percy Holton and Jimmy Jones.
Pallbearers will be Terry Gaskin, Eddie Bean, Tim Posey, Will Holton, Chris Holton, Tom Jones, Cody Lewis, Kirk Bell and Ethan Bean.
