It is with great sadness that the Bishop family announces the unexpected loss of Adam Darick Bishop. Adam passed from his earthly body to his heavenly home on February 2, 2024. He was 43 years old, just shy of his birthday on February 7, 1980.
Adam was honorably discharged from the United States Army having served from October 2001 thru December 2008. While serving his country in places such as Kosovo and Afghanistan, Adam made a multitude of genuine friendships that formed lifelong bonds. After serving his time Adam went on to become a graduate of Virginia College with a degree in Network Engineering. From February 2019 to present he was employed with NASA as a security police officer and a member of the FOP.
Adam loved his family, friends and brothers in arms. Adam was especially a protector and friend to the underdog. He had a very generous heart and loved to make the toughest of characters smile. His favorite things to do were to share his knowledge of weapons with likeminded people. He was an avid outdoorsman and would often be found outside on his shooting range.
Adam will so very deeply be missed by his wife of 10 years, Carrie, their son Archer and stepdaughter Chloe. He leaves behind his grieving father Kendall Bishop, Mother Diana Bishop, sister Kellie Powers, brother-in-law Joe Powers and niece Katie Buzby.
Adam, everyone you left behind in this world will have a deep void from here on out that you are gone but we find some comfort knowing you are home now with peace in your soul having reunited with your heavenly family and military brethren.
If anyone would like to express honor to Adam, we ask in lieu of flowers that a donation be considered to either of these causes near to his heart.
