AbbAbilene Ray “Abb” McCullough, 81, of Florence, passed away Feb. 6, 2014 at ECM Hospital after an extended illness. He was a member of Oakland Methodist Church.
Visitation will be today from 6–8 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, at 2 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Doug Moody officiating. Burial will follow in Walston Cemetery.
Mr. McCullough was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Ethel Cox McCullough; parents, Jimmy and Rutha Posey McCullough; daughters, Kay Schulman, Donna Butler; and brothers, Leslie, Earl, and Charles McCullough.
He is survived by his son, Steve McCullough (Pam); daughters, Deborah Hice (Freddy) and Diane Hollis (Kenny Hiller); brother, J.C. McCullough; sisters, Mattie Stanfield, Della Mae Collum, Jean Kent and Fronia Warhurst; grandchildren, Chris and Kyle Logan, Kevin Gower, Chase Hollis, Vance Southern, Michael Parham and Matthew Schulman; and 13 great-grandchildren including, Camden, Jaxson, Crimson, Preston and Karsyn Logan, and Lexxi Hollis.
Active pallbearers will be Chase Hollis, Glen Butler, Jerry McCullough, David McCullough, Bobby Cox and Bill Cox.
Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony McCullough, Mike Cox and Darrell Haddock.
Special thanks to his physician and longtime friend, Dr. Robert Mann, and Florence Nursing Home.
