SHEFFIELD – Sheffield City Council Member Steve Stanley, by a single vote margin, will face David Johnson in the Mayoral General Election on October 6th. Oddly enough, Stanley won his runoff last Tuesday against fellow-Council Member, Penny Freeman, by the same difference in votes tallied last week.

Then, on Tuesday, when the provisional ballots were counted at a special called-meeting of the City Council, Mayor Ian Sanford announced that Stanley had won by the identical narrow margin.

In Sheffield’s District Two, the vote tally resulted in a runoff for that Council seat between Barbara S. Cook and Dewayne Roden. That runoff will also be held on October 6th.
