Mr. A. Ray Isbell, of Florence, passed away Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, at Helen Keller Hospital. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Florence, owner of Western Auto at Seven Points Shopping Center in Florence and Porter Paint and Wallpaper.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 21, from 10-11 a.m. at Greenview Funeral Home with the funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Justus L. Cole.
Mr. Isbell was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Cochran Isbell; parents, Alvin and Effie Isbell; sister, Rosie Isbell Brown; brothers, Ethan, Nebo and Arnold Isbell.
He is survived by his daughter, Shelia Isbell Threet; brothers, Theo Isbell, of Muscle Shoals, Conard Isbell, of Athens, Dephra Isbell, of Huntsville; sister, Clara Isbell, of Muscle Shoals.
