SHEFFIELD-Sheffield Public Library and U.S. Marine, Sergeant Fred Grossi, a Purple Heart recipient, invite you to attend an evening with Craig and Fred to hear the story of how in a remote part of Afghanistan in 2010, the sergeant fed a piece of beef jerky to a funny looking stray dog. Theirs is a poignant and inspiring tale of hope, resilience and optimism, with a timeless message at its heart – It’s not what happens in life, but how we respond to it. Craig and Fred’s story is a shining example of the power of love to transform our hearts and our lives.   The event will take place on:  March 14, 2019 at the Clarion Hotel, Sheffield, Alabama.  Doors open at 6:00 p.m. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m.  A donation of $35 for tickets includes the meal and is available through The Sheffield Public Library. For more information call: (256) 386-5633.

This program is presented by: Friends of Sheffield Public Library.
