A.C. Hopkins, 86, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2025 at North Ms. Medical Center, Tupelo, MS. He was born in Mississippi to O.L. Hopkins and Fannie Twitty Hopkins. A.C. was a truck driver for thirty-two years and was known as “Roadmaster” by his cb trucking friends. He enjoyed motorcycle riding and golf and he loved taking road trips, traveling with his family. He was a member of Tishomingo Baptist Church.
Services will be Wednesday, June 11, 11 a.m. at Tishomingo Baptist Church, Tishomingo, MS with Bro. Rusty Fair officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 10, 5-8 p.m. at Tishomingo Baptist Church. Burial will be in Joel Cemetery, Dennis, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Hopkins; three children, Tim Hopkins, Tony Hopkins (Shannon) and Kristie Whitehead (Rickey); five grandchildren, Jessica Hopkins, James Lee Hopkins, Haley Stewart (Clayton), Laken Fuller (Matt) and Kaitlyn Barnes (Kaleb); nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Gerald Hopkins (Peggy) and two sisters, Annette Wooten (Charles) and Elsie Jean Chaffin.
Pallbearers will be James Lee Hopkins, Donevon Hopkins, Matt Fuller, Kaleb Barnes, Clayton Stewart, Auston Horton and Justin Payne. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Johnson, Mike Adams, Keith Lambert, Mackey Thornton, as well as other truck driving friends.
