Funeral service for A.C. Greenhill Jr., 88, of Hartselle, will be Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Greg Cain officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from noon until 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Greenhill died on October 3, 2015, at Floyd E. “Tut” Fann Veterans Home following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s disease. He was born December 30, 1926, in Wheeler, Mississippi. He was a graduate of the University of Alabama, a veteran of the U.S. Army, and served during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include wife,
Billie Greenhill; two sons, Jack W. Greenhill (Tammy), of Hartselle and Richard A. Greenhill (Carol), of Hartselle; two nieces,
Peggy Hamilton, of Russellville and Sandra Lee (Jim) Steele, of Florence; one nephew,
Jimmy Greenhill, of Russellville; five granddaughters, Christen, Natalie, Caitlin, Mary Emily, and
Carly; and one great- granddaughter, Lucy.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association.
