Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Riggs, age 82, will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 2pm in the chapel of Shelton Funeral Home, with John Singleton officiating. Burial to follow in Oakland Cemetery in Trenton, TN. Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, from 10am until service time in the chapel of Shelton Funeral Home.
Mrs. Riggs, a Trenton Special School District retired cafeteria cook and member of Souls Harbor Pentecostal Church, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Dyer Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Dyer, TN.
Mrs. Riggs is preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Margie (Dycus) Norwood, her brother David Norwood, and her sister Betty Norwood.
Mrs. Riggs is survived by her husband, Alan “Sonny” Riggs of Trenton, TN, her son Tommy Riggs of Blue Goose, TN, two brothers John Norwood and Randy Norwood both of Greenfield, TN, two step-grandchildren and three step- great grandchildren.
