Funeral service for Hope Garner, 47, will be Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Danville Baptist Church with Bro. Jack Bailey and Bro. Joe David Bailey officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Sardis Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 12, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Danville Baptist Church.
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Bethany Hope Garner. Otherwise known as “Mom”, “Hopie”, or “Pearl”. Hope passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at Decatur Morgan Parkway Medical Center. She was born May 8, 1978, in Colbert County, to Jack Blackburn Bailey and June Wanda Marbut Bailey.
Hope was a devout mother, daughter, sister, and partner. She filled the room with her bright sense of humor, and love for helping others. Hope’s greatest joy and achievement was her two children, Landon and Mylee Garner. Hope graduated from Danville High School in 1996 and attended Calhoun Community College where she obtained an associate’s degree in applied sciences in Cosmetology. She became a very talented and successful hairstylist. Her passion for loving and helping others became her everyday job. Hope loved Jesus and knew the importance of grace, mercy, and forgiveness. Her family has taken comfort in believing she is now at peace.
Hope is preceded in death by her grandparents- Mary and Woodrow Marbut and Naola and Eugene Bailey.

Son – Landon Drake Garner,
Daughter – Mylee Reese Garner,
Parents – Bro. Jack Bailey and June Marbut Bailey,
Special Friend – Brandon “Bull” Flowers,
Brother – Joe David Bailey (Lori),
Sisters – Hannah McAbee (Troy) and
Holly Reeves (Jermy),
and many nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends who all loved her deeply.
Pallbearers will Jason Marbut, Sandy Fields, Joshua Turrentine, Brent Breedlove, Jason Bowling, Cole Flowers, Chico Jordan, and Caden Flowers.
