Sue Ann Stagner Sue Ann Stagner, age 81, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2026 at NHC Springfield. Funeral services will be conducted at 1pm Wednesday, May 13th, in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield. Entombment will follow in the Springfield Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Avery Holland, Braiden Goodwin, Joey Greer, Kevin Jones, Brian Tanner and Christopher Holland serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Trent Dority, Jeff Duffer and Phil Elliott.

The family will receive friends from 4-8pm Tuesday and again from 10am until time of the service at 1pm Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Ms. Stagner was born December 7, 1944, in Miami, FL, to the late Joseph Richard Stagner and the late Gertrude Wright Stagner. She was a Caregiver for the elderly most off her life and was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Stagner was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Lynn Stagner; granddaughter, Candice Elaine Stagner; brother, Harry “Buster” Tanner; sister-in-law, Betty Tanner; and a half-sister, Emily Elliott.

She is survived by her daughter, Renee (Christopher) Holland; sons, Scottie (Debra) Stagner, and Timothy Allen “Snoopy” (Kelli Beth) Stagner; 7 grandchildren, Kyle Stagner, Avery Holland, Lyndsey Stagner, Michael Stagner, Kayla Stagner, Brandon Stagner and Daniel Stagner; and 14 great grandchildren.
