Jane Ford Jantz died peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at North Miss. Medical Center in Tupelo after a brief illness. Jane lived a life of love, grace and purpose. Her faith was strong and she went about her earthly pilgrimage helping others, faithfully attending the Church of Jesus Christ-Mennonite in Okolona and caring for her large family. She will long be remembered by friends as the Cafeteria Manager for Okolona Public Schools until her retirement fifteen years ago. Jane was born into a large family in Modesto, California to the late Quitman Ford and Isabetl Nacarrow Ford. Jane always had a warm smile and kind work towards al she came in contact with. She was married to the late Willard Dean Jantz on July 16, l966 in California, a marrage of 45 years until his death on May 3, 2021. They relocated to the Okolona area arriving in the Spring of 1976. To this union was born a daughter, Sherry and 5 sons, Tomothy, Ray, Keith, Dale and Joseph, To these 6 children was born a large family of grandchildren to whom Jane was most fond. She loved the land and farming following her husband’s life work and always supporting his endeavors.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM Sunday, May 10, 2026 at the Church of God in Christ-Mennonite in Okolona with burial to follow in the Church cemetery. Visitation will be from a 5 PM until 7 PM on Sat. May, 9, 2026 and continue on Sunday morning at 9:30 AM until service time at 10:30. Jane is survived by all her children and their families.
