Yvonne Nobile King Profile Photo Yvonne Nobile King, 88, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, April 26, 2026. She was born November 22, 1937, in Moorhead, Mississippi, and was a resident of Huntsville for 69 years. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, James Lamar King; and her children, Annette Feltman (Tony), Karen Daye, Ryan King (Cindy), and Morris King. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Gary Lamar King, and her granddaughter, Emily Yvonne Daye.

Yvonne treasured time with her family and delighted in any activity that brought them together. She love to sing and dance, and she always made sure those around her felt comfortable and cared for. She enjoyed the outdoors and created countless wonderful memories with everyone she loved. She never had a bad word to say about anyone and was the very picture of grace and forgiveness to all she met. A superb cook, she delighted in sharing her recipes and her dishes with others.

The family would like to thank the caregivers for the compassion, love, and care given to her during the last year.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 30, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Our Lady Queen of the Universe Catholic Church in Huntsville, with a funeral service immediately following at the church. Burial will be held at Huntsville Memory Gardens in Huntsville, Alabama.
