Shirley Faye Norwood Price, age 90, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, April 21,2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on September 4, 1935, in Moulton, Alabama, Shirley lived a life defined by hard work,
love for her family, and unwavering faith. She will be remembered for her kind spirit, her
dedication to those she loved, and the many ways she served others throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie Severe Norwood and Ethyl Burden Norwood;
her beloved husband, Early Lee Price Jr.; her brother, Billy Norwood; and her son, Glenn Allen
Price, and her daughter-in-law, Sharon Boullemet Price.
She is survived by her children, Michael Lee Price, Jan “Cheetah” Swift-Robertson, and Gregory
Lynn Price; her sister, Diane Norwood Mangrum; her grandchildren, Brandon Price, Derrick
Price, Whitney Wright, Sydney Williamson, Morgan Price, Brittney Swift, and Dustin Swift; and
ten great-grandchildren, all of whom were a treasured part of her life.
Shirley attended Wright Business College and married Lee Price on August 4, 1956, at Mount
Moriah Methodist Church in Moulton. Together, they built a life rooted in faith, family, and hard
work.
She took great pride in working alongside her husband in opening Centron Lumber Company in
October 1980. Afterward, she continued operating the business with her son, Michael, until it
was sold. She later worked as a real estate agent with Century 21 Classic Properties.
Shirley and Lee were founding members of Westmeade Baptist Church in Decatur, Alabama,
where they found lasting faith, fellowship, and community.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Shelton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at 1:00 PM. at Westmeade Baptist Church with Rev. Justin McAlpin officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include Brandon Price, Derrick Price, Dustin Swift, Robin McCulloch, Scott
Robertson, and Scottie Cox.
Memorials may be made in Shirley’s name to Westmeade Baptist Church, 2030 Beltline Road
SW, Decatur, Alabama 35601.
