Edna “Marie” Lankford, age 90, of Ripley, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2026, at Asbury Cove Assisted Living Center.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 25, at Woodville Baptist Church, where she was a faithful and long-time member. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., with services to follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in Woodville Cemetery. Garner Funeral Home of Ripley has charge over arrangements.
Mrs. Lankford was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert H. Lankford, and her daughter, Debra K. Steelman.
Marie was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was grounded in love, family, and faith. She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Eng of Miami; two siblings, Shelby Bremer of Jackson and W.H. Clem of Dickson; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren, all of whom cherished her deeply.
She worked for many years at Mays-Dunavent Pharmacy before retiring. Marie found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially watching and discussing Cardinals baseball, a pastime that brought her great happiness and connection with those she loved.
Her warmth, dedication to family, and enduring spirit will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
