Mr. Robert Clinton Taylor, Jr., age 85, of McMinnville, TN passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at his residence. He was born on May 16, 1940 to the late Robert Clinton Taylor, Sr. and Opal Rigsby Taylor. He was dedicated in serving his country and community. A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, he served 22.5 years, including time during the Vietnam War. He was a well-known postman for the U.S Post Office for many years. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Judy Lynne Brown, sisters Judy Ann Taylor and Martha Gail Taylor, and brothers Jimmy Taylor and Gary Taylor.
Survivors include his wife Joy Taylor, children Michael (Destiny) Taylor, Penny (Paul) Reagan, and Mark (Holly) Taylor, step daughter Carolyn Treadway, step son Roger Frey, sisters Carol Taylor, Betty (Rex) Boles, Brenda (Jimmy) Woodlee, and Cathy Bouldin, 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Bob Taylor are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Saturday, April 25, 2026 in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Michael Taylor will officiate. Interment will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Military grave rites will be administered by the American Legion Post 173 and V.F.W Post 5064. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at 1:00 P.M.
