  Dennis Pruitt Profile PhotoMr. Dennis Harry Pruitt, age 81, a resident of Santa Fe, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Life Care Center of Columbia.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 20, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Parkway Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Santa Fe Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 20, 2026, from 11:00 AM until the service hour at the church. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Dennis was born on March 17, 1945, in Maury County, Tennessee, and was the son of the late Chester Clay Pruitt and the late Mary Etta Chatman Pruitt. On December 26, 1981, he married Margaret Ann Adkison, with whom he shared many devoted years.

He was employed for many years with Maury Fence Company and Elias Construction and later worked part-time at the Maury County Convenience Center. Dennis was a faithful member of Parkway Baptist Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, and found his greatest joy in spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Margaret Ann Pruitt; his son, Tony Lee Pruitt; daughter, Shelia (Rickey) Patton; son, Michael (Vickey) Craig; special nephew, Clay (Barbara) Pruitt; grandchildren, Heather Patton, Chelsea (Jon Paul) Hilgert, and Christie (Justin) Dixon; great-grandchildren, Kaden Hilgert, Olivia Hilgert, Jackson Hilgert, and Adalie “Addie” Dixon; and his devoted friends, Keith Thrailkill and Donnie Rosebaum.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Dewayne Pruitt; his brother, Robert Pruitt; and his sister, Margaret Ann Fralix.

Pallbearers will be Clay Pruitt, Johnny Fralix, Billy Fralix, Marty Adkison, Cassie Adkison, Derrick Adkison, Terry Adkison, Nathan Adkison, and Jon Paul Hilgert.

All members of Parkway Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
