Martha Beatrice Johnson (Long), age 86, passed away peacefully April 13, 2026. She lived a life marked by love, strength, and devotion to her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Leldon Johnson; her son, David Ray Johnson; one great grandson, Liam Gates; her parents, Mildred Cecil Long and Fannie Lee Long (Wallace); her siblings, Margie Cox (Long), Shelby Pellum (Long), Eddie Long, and Jim Long.
She will be lovingly remembered by her four children, Patricia Kay Anderson (Johnson), Sonny Johnson (Lila), Brenda Lee Johnson, and Ronald Steven Johnson (Christy). Her legacy continues through her grandchildren; Hollis Chandler, Christie Bentley, Alan Chandler, Kyle Wilson, Matthew Johnson, Jennifer Johnson, Bentley Johnson, Wayne Shirah, Jeffery Ledbetter, Alyssa Johnson, Logan Johnson, Megan Burgess; along with 21 great grandchildren and one great- great grandson. She is also survived by her special friend Reed Adcock; her siblings, Mickey Long and Ivaree (Cookie) Farley.
She will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and the unwavering care she showed to those around her. She found joy in the simple moments, time spent with loved ones, sharing stories, and creating memories that will be treasured always.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM, funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM at the Chapel with Chris Martin and Sonny Johnson officiating.
Pallbearers will be Hollis Chandler, Alan Chandler, Kyle Wilson, Wayne Shirah, Logan Johnson, Matthew Johnson.
She leaves behind a family who will deeply miss her presence, but will hold onto the love and warmth she shared so freely forever. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved and knew her.
