Funeral service for Brenda Sue McGee Morgan, 72, will be Sunday, April 19, 2026 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, April 19, 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Morgan passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born August 3, 1953, in Morgan County, to Thomas McGee and Edna Massey Robinson McGee.
She was the most kind, caring, and giving person that would do whatever she needed to to help others. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who loved her family more than anything in this world. She was employed as a Cook for McCollum’s Restaurant for more than 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband- John Thomas Morgan, Sr., her parents, Sisters- Joyce Pettus, Janice Woods, Samantha “Sam” Stewart and brothers- Steve Landers and William “Bill” McGee.
Survivors include
Daughters- Jonnie McCarley (Nate), and
Torie Smallwood (Ashley),
Brother – Phillip Robinson,
Sisters – Kathleen Woods and
Leanna Rogers (lifelong friend and sister),
Grandchildren- Logan Johnson (Laura), Megan Burgess (Drayson), and Iveigh McCarley
Great Grandchildren – Tatum Johnson, Avery Johnson, Brixton Burgess, and Cohen Burgess.
one niece that was like a daughter- Brittany Dawson (Tommy)
and a number of beloved nieces and and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Logan Johnson, Drayson Burgess, Tommy Dawson, Braxton Bowen, Ashley Smallwood and Jeremy Woods.
