Mr. Johnny A. Blankenship, age 88, of Savannah, Tennessee, passed away on April 11, 2026.
He was born on February 7, 1938, in Henderson County, Tennessee, to the late John Homer Blankenship and Minnie Estelle Grissom Blankenship. Mr. Blankenship was a retired farmer and construction worker and proudly served as a member of the National Guard.
He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Lois Blankenship; two sons, John Lee Blankenship (Shelia) and Paul A. Blankenship (Lora); one daughter, Lisa Blankenship Moody (Terry); two step-sons, Nicholas Harville (Keri) and Shane Harville (Karen); one brother, C.F. Blankenship (Loretta); three sisters, Ilene Page, Rebecca Rhodes, and Bobbie Nell St. Clair-White; four grandchildren; and six step-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Arvil Blankenship, Elvis Blankenship, and J.W. Blankenship, and one grandson, Jared Ryan Blankenship.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington. Interment will follow in Unity Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and again on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM.
