Pamela Ann McKee Smith Profile Photo Pamela Ann McKee Smith, age 77, went home to be with her Savior on the morning of April 11, 2026 following a brief illness.

Born on December 31, 1948, Pamela was the dedicated and loving wife of Paul D. Smith, who predeceased her on May 26, 2024 and the beloved only child of the late A.J. McKee and Lois Walker McKee.

After graduating from Columbia Central High School in 1967, Pamela went to California where she attended the prestigious Pasadena Playhouse in Hollywood, and she later studied under Lee Strasberg, founder of the renowned Actor’s Studio. She thrived during her time in Hollywood performing numerous roles on stage and in film and television. After marrying Paul in 1985 and moving back home to Columbia, she continued exploring her interest and love of film by writing screenplays and movie production. She and Paul formed Rally Hill Productions which among other things, produced The Grift, a movie Pamela had created.

Pamela was a woman of strong faith and a devoted wife and mother. She was a loyal and loving friend to many.

Survivors include her daughter, Sloane A. Smith (Louis Lembo) of Columbia; step-grandchildren, Tristen, Stephen, Andrew and Pete Smith; cousins, Barbara (Babs) Walker, Cathy Walker Coulter, Judy Berlin Tidwell, Jauneece McKee Bass and Carolyn Strong Bishop.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 17, 2026 at 3:00 pm at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 pm. Online condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com.

The family would like to thank Karla Baker, Joannie Shively, Beverly Davenport, Ernestine Curtis, Annette Long and Jessica Morel for their loving and compassionate care and the many friends who have reached out during the last month with their love and support. The family would also like to thank Compassus and special friend Debra Watkins.

Pallbearers will include Dr. Louis Lembo, Stephen Walker, Tristen Smith, Franklin Walker, Dr. Amit Choksi, Kevin Cooper, Guy Penrod, John Neelley, Will Leech and Lee Coulter.

Memorial Contributions may be directed to the charity of your choice or to The Rose Hill Cemetery Association at PO Box 1511 Columbia, TN 38402.
