Margaret Louise Hembree Tapscott, 89, went home to be with her Lord Jesus on April 11, 2026. Louise leaves behind her brother, David Hembree, sons Eddie and Tim Tapscott, daughter Cindi Tapscott, granddaughters Sara Hape and Grabrielle Stoltzfus, great grandson Bear Hape, and great granddaughter Magnolia Stoltzfus. She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Ira and Mattie Hembree, her brothers Marvin, Pete, and Jimmy Hembree, her sister, Willene McBrayer, and her grandson Herbert Edwin “Tap” Tapscott, IV.
Louise was born in Cullman County, Alabama, on January 27, 1937. Louise was a devoted and beloved mother, grandmother, and friend. Louise operated a licensed home daycare for decades, and one of her greatest joys in life was taking care of children. She lovingly tended to several generations of children who knew her as “Mama Weezie”. She watched them grow up and stayed in touch with many of them throughout the years. She was an avid gardener with a gifted green thumb and was able to create beautiful gardens in unlikely places.
Louise was a member of First Baptist Church in Falkville, Alabama, where she adored the people and loved to worship.
