Dorothy Marie (Kirk) Daniel passed away peacefully on April 10, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on January 28, 1941, in Stevenson, Alabama, to the late Edd and Allie Mae (Garner) Kirk. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Windle Daniel.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Annette Daniel Hopkins (late Wayne Hopkins), Earl (Deborah) Daniel, and Jimmy (Dawn) Daniel; grandchildren, Amiee (late Larry) Ingle, Andrew (Danna) Hill, Kristen (Jacob) Floyd, Amber (Edwin) Martinez, and Sydney (Bryan) Boyd; her cherished great-grandchildren, Ky Ingle, Brayden Hill, Hayden Hill, Parker Floyd, and Katherine Floyd; and sister, Mabel Gaines.

Lovingly known as “Nannie” to those who knew her best, Dorothy found her greatest joy in spending time with her family. She also enjoyed gardening, crocheting, cooking, and reading her Bible.

Dorothy will be remembered for her gentle spirit, kind heart, and the quiet love she so freely gave to everyone around her. Her presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved her.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Franklin Memorial Gardens.
