Mary Grace Childers, age 74, of Gadsden, Alabama, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026, at Riverview Regional Medical Center.
Born on February 21, 1952 to the late PG and Annie Crosley, in Alabama, Mary was deeply loved by family and friends. She will be remembered for the love she shared with those closest to her and the lasting impact she made on everyone who knew her.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin S. Childers; late husband, Kenneth Harris, Sr.; and aunt, Lorene Oliver.
Survivors include son, Kenneth Harris Jr. (Kimberly); daughter, Kayla Phillips (Adam); grandchildren, Joshua Harris (Katie), Allison Miller (Patrick), Emma Phillips, Emily Phillips, and Erica Phillips; great-grandchildren, Adaline Harris, Patrick Miller Jr., Delilah Miller, Henry Miller, Adalind Harris, Dallas Harris, and Charlotte Ann Stephens; siblings, Orman Crosley (Wanda), Margaret Plunkett (Roman), and Tommy Crosley (Betty); numerous nieces and nephews; special family member, Julia Harris.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 13, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Adams Brown Service Chapel with Bro. Steven Cornelius officiating. Interment will follow at Concord Missionary Baptist Cemetery in Horton, Alabama, with Justin Plunkett, Tommy Jaggers, Jack Sims, Steven Cornelius, Scott Shannon, and Joshua Harris serving as pallbearers.
