Graveside Services for Mary Jane Blair Hamlin, age 87, of Ashland will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Ashland City Cemetery with Bro. Ben Rosser officiating.
Mrs. Hamlin was born in Millerville and graduated from Bibb Graves High School, Class of 1957. She became a registered nurse and cared for others for over 40 years, serving as the director of nursing at Lineville Nursing Home and retired from the Clay County Health Department as a home health nurse. Jane was an active member at 1st Baptist Church of Ashland, singing in the choir as well as being in the Sue Curlee Sunday School Class. Clay County was always home and she was always cheering for The Tide!
She is survived by her children, Laura Hamlin of Montgomery, Rhonda Davis and husband Eelie of Thomson, GA and Chuck Hamlin and wife LaRene of Aiken, SC; 4 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 nieces, Sandra Browning and husband John and Deb McGough; and several other extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, L.L. and Mae Blair, her husband of 53 years, Charles “Hootie” Hamlin.
Family requests no flowers but donations to 1st Baptist Church of Ashland.
