LAUDERDALE COUNTY-On 3/30/2026 Lauderdale County Deputies and Florence-Lauderdale Animal Services responded to a residence in the 3000 block of County Road 112 to following up on an ongoing issue of reported animal neglect.
Once on scene investigators obtained a search warrant to further their investigation. Due to the current living conditions, a total of 191 dogs were seized from the residence. The removal of the animals spanned over 2 days.
The dogs are currently being housed at the Florence-Lauderdale animal shelter as well as the Colbert County animal shelter.
This is an open an ongoing investigation and charges are pending.
