Malinda Rayburn, age 70 of Haleyville, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2026. She was born December 20, 1955 to William and Iona Cooper. A Gathering of friends will be Friday, April 03, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill No2. Baptist Church in Double Springs, where the memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Brother Randy Taylor will officiate. Malinda is survived by her daughters, Heather (Jabbo) Hill, and Amanda Kay (Brian) Proulx and Ashley (Julian) Mathis; son, Kenneth (Jennifer) Rayburn; sisters, Renee (Glenn) Baker, Angie Cooper, and Bonnie Aaron; brothers, Kenneth (Janis) Jackson, Jimmy (Dawn) Cooper, Joe (Wendy) Cooper; and a host of nieces, nephews, 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, William “Bill” Cooper; mother, Iona Harris; stepfather, James Godsey; sister, Brenda Cooper; nephew, Jason Jackson; brother, Bruce Cooper, Grandson RJ White and Great Grandson Brayden Smith.
