Joey Glen Thomas, 62, of Rogersville, passed away Friday, March 27, 2026 at his residence. He was a retired commercial fisherman.
Visitation will be Monday, March 30th from 1 – 3 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow in the chapel with Keith Hawk officiating. Burial will be in Civitan Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Blake Jaynes, Hunter Jaynes, Sammy Springer, Todd Lawson, Mark Thomas and Greg Thomas.
Joey was preceded in death by his parents, Russell Glen Thomas and Shirley Fay Murrah; father and mother-in-law, Junior and Agnes Ritter.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Ritter Thomas; son, Bailey Joseph Thomas; sister, Pamela (Dale) Jaynes; brothers-in-law, Jimmy (Beth) Ritter and Ronnie (Terri) Ritter; sister-in-law, Marsha (Randy) Lawson; special companion, Ripley; numerous nieces and nephews.
