Lois Jeanne Johnson, age 81, of Cedar Hill, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at her home. The family will hold a Celebration of Life service on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 3pm, Center Point Baptist Church, 6660 TN-161, Springfield, TN 37172 with Bro. Ronnie Green officiating.
Ms. Johnson was born September 7, 1944, in Grand Rapids, MI, to the late Earl and Crystal Merritt. She was a Postal Clerk with the U.S. Postal Service for many years.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Johnson was preceded in death by a son, Robert Wiersma; daughter, Rusti Wiersma; brother, Kenneth Merritt; and sisters, Sharon Merritt and Dorothy Merritt.
She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda (Elvis) Bellar, Jr.; son, Ryan (Michelle Lane) Wiersma; 7 grandchildren, Justin Simon, Shawn (Ariel) Simon, Luke Bellar, Torri (Justin) Duff, Shane Wiersma, Abbi Lane and Evan Lane; and 8 great grandchildren, Gavan Simon, Emory Simon, Riley Simon, Acacia Simon, Adaline Sego, Annabell Sego, Jack Duff and Samuel Bentley.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to the Center Point Baptist Church Building Fund.
