June Willis Hendrix, 91, of Tuscumbia, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Friday, March 20, 2026. A private service was held for the family.

June was a member of First Baptist Church, Tuscumbia, where she was attended Tena Hudson’s Sunday School Class, and taught Sunday School, G.A.s, and VBS. She was a retired bookkeeper, a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader, and a talented cook and gardener. June was a beautiful person and had a servant’s heart. Her greatest love was her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Hendrix; parents, Ed and Ellie Willis; and brothers, Carl, Olan, and Eddie Willis.

June is survived by her children, Jan Davis (Charles), Judy Kirchner (Tim), and Sandi Nelson (John); grandchildren, Tara Johnson, Leah Lagan (Trey), Levi Crowell (Qis), Julianne Taylor (Michael), Graham Kirchner (Katrina), Elizabeth Lambert (Andrew), Daniel Nelson (Melissa), and Andrew Nelson (Molly); and great-grandchildren, Addy, Mac, Jo, Art, Kai, Jubilee, Melody, Chloe, Ellis, Hollin, Cooper, Maggie, Forrest, and Baby June.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

The family offers special thanks to Thomas Spence with Affinity Hospice, the staff of Keller Home Care, and caregivers, Donna I., Donna B., Helen, Joyce, Annie, Jo Ann, Stephanie, Vera, Kim, Brenda, Mattie, Katie, Leca, and Lisa.
