Logo Icon Brian Ignatius Parasiliti, Sr., age 66 of Florence, Alabama died Friday, March 20, 2026.   The Holy Rosary will be prayed on Wednesday, March 25 from 6:00 to 7:30pm at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, St. Florian, Alabama.    The visitation will be following the rosary from 7:30 to 9:30pm at St. Michael’s Catholic Church.

The Christian Rite of Burial will begin at 10:00am Thursday, March 26, 2026 and burial will be immediately following at St. Michael’s Cemetery.

Brian was a member of The Catholic Church all of his life and was baptized at St. Monica’s Church, Garfield Heights, Ohio and was a member of St. Michael’s for the last few decades.    He moved to Florence, Alabama in 1969 when his Father Carmelo Anthony Parasiliti I and Bill Street founded Imperial Casting, Co, Inc.

Brian graduated Bradshaw High School in 1977 and attended The University of North Alabama focusing on The UNA Band and ROTC until his father became ill therefore, he and his brother Carl Bruce Parasiliti, Sr.  began running Imperial Casting with his father’s partner, Phil Street and his son, Eric.   He was in the Knights of Columbus and a fifty year member of The American Foundry Society.

Brian loved the Church and helped as an altar server and assisted the Priest distributing Holy Communion as often as needed.   He regularly read the Scriptures on Saturday morning Masses.    He passed away in his truck after serving Mass and The Adoration of The Blessed Sacrament.

Brian loved God first and was a dedicated family man and loved spending time with all of his children and grandchildren.     He kept up with his trumpet music through the Shoals Community Band.

In addition, he loved boating, beach trips, traveling to visit his sister and her family and numerous cousins and aunt in Ohio.   He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan.

Survivors are his wife, Suzannah (nee’ McDonald) Parasiliti; children: Brianna Parasiliti Williamson (Matthew), Carmelo Anthony Parasiliti II (Kris), Brian Ignatius Parasiliti Jr. (Whitney), Michael McDonald Backensto (Laney), Amanda McClellan Sisson (Joshua), Andrew William McClellan.

Sister, Tina Eileen Dzubak; Niece, Joleen Renee Dzubak.   Nephews, Carl Bruce Parasiliti, Jr., Jacob Ignazio Parasiliti.    Brian is Godfather to his great-nephew Zachery, Streetsboro, Ohio.

His grandchildren are Colton and Harper Williamson, Carmelo Warren and Luca Anthony Parasiliti, baby Mila Brianna (to be born in June, 2026); August James Holloway.

He was preceded in death by his parents Carmelo Anthony Parasiliti I, and Barbara Eileen (nee’ Calta) Parasiliti; his brother and best friend Carl Bruce Parasiliti Jr, and his beloved nephew Christopher Dzubak.

Pallbearers are Carmelo Anthony Parasiliti II; Brian Ignatius Parasiliti Jr., Carl Bruce Parasiliti Sr., Jacob Ignazio Parasiliti; Michael McDonald Backensto, Andrew William McClellan, August Holloway and Joshua Sisson.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Michael’s Catholic Church of St. Florian.
