Samuel Everett Dorris, 90 of Hulaco passed away Sunday March 15, 2026, at Princeton Medical Center. Sam was born March 15, 1936, in Campbell, Missouri, the son of James Fredrick Dorris and Pearl Followell Dorris. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Wyle Laboratories as a senior test specialist. He was married to Leola Dorris who passed away on March 21, 2024. He was also preceded in death by his parents: James Fredrick and Pearl Dorris; stepdaughter: Kristie Michelle George Wilson; brothers: Ed Dorris and Dale Dorris and sister: Margaret Dorris.
Survivors include his stepson: Stacy (Karen) George; sister: Clara Levart; grandchildren: Bailey (Greg) Johnson, Macy (Austin) Borden, Skylar (Cody) Sloas, Sasha Evans, and Kade George and Fiancé, Megan Large; great grandchildren: Adaline Borden, Briar Johnson, Jamey Johnson, Ellie Sloas, Oliver Sloas, Kylan Evans and Kayston Evans; host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be 12:00 p.m. Thursday March 19, 2026, at Highland Baptist Church with Brother Dean Elrod officiating. The burial will be in the adjoining cemetery, Gober Funeral Chapel directing.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Thursday at Highland Baptist Church.
Pallbearers: Austin Borden, Stacy George, Greg Johnson, Kade George, Cody Sloas, Kimball Ibraham and Steven Borden.
