Cynthia “Cindy” Avery, 67, passed away March 3, 2026 at her home in Collierville, TN. She was born June 5, 1958 in Halltown, AL. She was the eldest daughter of the late Nell O’dell of Memphis, TN and Derral Williams of Winfield, AL.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL, 1:30 p.m. with Brother Fred Garrison, Jr of Helena, AR officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 12-1:30 p.m. Her ashes will be placed in Halltown Cemetery next to her mother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Derral Ray Williams, Jr.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Taylor Avery of Collierville, TN; two sons, Christopher (Danielle) Fairchild of Walls, MS and Johnathon Fairchild of Moscow, TN and step-daughter, Denise (Wesley) DeWeese of Collierville, TN; five grandchildren, Taylor and Brennen Daniels of Collierville, and Cheyenne, Brodie and Henry Fairchild of Walls, MS; one sister Karan Palmer of Collierville, TN and one brother Mark (Sherry) Williams of Red Bay, AL.
