Barbara Ann Barksdale, 78, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2026 at Helen Keller Hospital. She was born in Mississippi to Audie and Myrtle Lee Burns Mink. She and her husband, Billy Wayne Barksdale owned and operated chicken farms for over 25 years. She loved working in her flowers.
Funeral services will be Thursday, March 19, 3 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Billy Nichols and Bro. Marty Guidry officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, March 19, 1-3 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Halltown Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her beloved husband and caregiver of 56 years, Billy Wayne Barksdale; two children, Mary Ivy and Wade Inmon (Janet); grandchildren, Bridgette Stidham (Justin), Jake Ivy (Katie), Zack Ivy (Rebekah) and Holden Inmon; great-grandchildren, Trent Harmon, Riley Stidham, Jack Ivy, Joseph Ivy, Hazel Ivy, Samuel Ivy, Colby Stidham, Colton Stidham and Eva Ling; great-great grandchildren, Linleigh Anderson and Anniston Harmon; siblings, James Mink (Diane), Brenda Hand and Carolyn Mink and her beloved dog, Gizmo.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Jinkham, Wilbur, Dorothy, Betty, Virginia, Gary Wayne and Ella Mae.
Pallbearers will be Holden Inmon, Jake Ivy, Zack Ivy, Trent Harmon, Alton Barksdale and Colby Stidham. Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Ivy, Sam Ivy, Jack Ivy and Colton Stidham.
