Sherry R. Summerford, 78, of Hartselle, AL, passed away on March 13, 2026.
Sherry was a strong, loving mother whose greatest accomplishment in life was raising her three daughters on her own. Through determination, resilience, and unwavering love for her family, she built a life centered around strength and sacrifice. She faced challenges with courage and always put her girls first, teaching them independence, compassion, and importance of standing on their own feet.
Later in life, her heart grew even fuller with the arrival of her beloved grandchildren, Kellen and Holly. They brought her immense joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them. Being their Nana was one of the greatest blessings of her life.
Her daughters remember her not only as their mother, but as their role model, protector, and biggest supporter. The values she instilled and the love she gave will continue to guide them throughout their lives.
Sherry was known by friends and family as a woman of strength and heart. She had a way of making people feel welcome, cared for, and understood. Her legacy lives on through the family she loved so dearly.
She is survived by her two daughters, Cherie Summerford and Robin Sharp, as well as two grandchildren, Kellen Nyikos and Holly Sharp. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Summerford and her daughter, Gina Summerford.
As per her wishes, there will not be a service.
Her family will forever carry her strength, love and spirit in their hearts.
