Mrs. Karen Jo Tate Wright Mrs. Karen Jo Tate Wright
Karen Jo passed peacefully surrounded by her family who she loved and adored with all her heart and soul on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, wife, daughter, sister, and a friend to many.

She will always be remembered for all her laughter, cheating at Rook, shopping skills, and unwavering kindness and support to all who knew her. She loved to sing “Delta Dawn” and somehow, she always had ANY item you needed.

She worked in various positions as a manager, and was also a very loyal employee and hard worker.

She will be forever missed by her family. She was the foundation, the protector, and always a beacon of hope. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, gives us comfort in knowing, we will be together again.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Haynes and Nannie Pearl Tate; spouses, Allen Wright and George Mason; sister, Audrey Little Allen; brother, William Haynes Tate; niece, Crystal Tate; nephew, Chad McCrary; and brothers-in-law, Rayburn Little, James Allen, Dennis McCrary, and Chris Wright. She is survived by her children, Laura Wright (Jeremy Gilbert) and Jesse Wright (Laura McCrary Wright); brothers, Milton Tate (Sherry) and Johnny Mack Tate; sister, Susan Joyner (Lawrence); grandchildren, Peyton McDowell (Tyran Smith), Alex Wright, Travis Gibson, Lily Guffey, and Chandler Gilbert (Haylee); great grandchildren, Ryder Chisenall and Beau Gilbert; sisters-in-law, Elaine Tate, Debbie McCrary, and Melissa Wright; nieces, Tori Tate, Leigh Summerford, Angie Little, and Carolyn Little; nephews, Michael Little, Justin Joyner, Keith Tate, Adam McCrary, Clint McCrary, Hunter Wright, and Logan Wright; and special friends, Suzanne Thompson and Robyn Whitzell.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to Elizabeth Rhoades, Enhabit Hospice, Daniel Snyder, Dr. Jung Park, MD, Devon Langley who all contributed to a peaceful transition to her Heavenly home.

The family will receive friends at Scottsboro Funeral Home on Thursday, March 12, 2026 from 5-8 p.m. and again on Friday, March 13, 2026 from 1-3 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2026 with Rev.
