John F. Drobnick, 72, of Meridianville, Alabama triumphantly entered the Glories of Heaven on February 8, 2026 after a sudden, massive stroke.
John was born July 28, 1953 in San Bernardino, CA to John F. Drobnick, Sr. and Dorcas Marie Drobnick. John was a graduate of Green River College and Warner University. He worked for many years in the aerospace industry, most recently on the Space Shuttle program at Kennedy Space Center in Florida. He delighted in leading church choirs in three states and in perfecting his precision Bach piano skills. He was also a master of repair projects of all kinds. In his retirement years, he and his wife, Cathy, greatly enjoyed RV travels and volunteering in SOWERS, a Christian RV helping ministry.
John, a devoted husband, is survived by his wife of nearly 54 years, Mary Catherine (Cathy) Drobnick of Meridianville, his much-loved children, Matthew (Carly) Drobnick, Laurel (Jonathan) Jarvis, and Allison Drobnick. He was preceded in death by a dear son, Jeremy Drobnick, and is survived by a beloved sister, Donna Levingston. John’s 21 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren were a great source of joy to him and he prayed for them faithfully every day.
The family will greet friends at a combined Memorial and Worship service on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at First Flint River Baptist Church, 8519 Moores Mill Road, Meridianville, AL 35759.
