Martha Moncier Melton, age 69, of Oakfield, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at her home on March 8, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Martha was born on June 5, 1956, in Alamo, Tennessee, to Jessie Moncier and Voncille Moncier, both of whom preceded her in death.
She graduated from South Side High School and spent many years working in property management. Martha was known for her creativity and caring spirit. She loved decorating, cooking, and creating beautiful candy bouquets that she often sold as a hobby. She also enjoyed organizing community events and bringing people together. Her strength, determination, and resilience were especially evident during her long fight with cancer, which she faced with remarkable courage.
Martha was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her loving husband, Mike Melton; her sons, Cole Melton and Shane Melton; her brother, Johnny Moncier; her sister, Aileen Hibbitt; and her grandchildren, Alexis Melton and Jacob Melton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Lorraine Moncier and Jenny Moncier.
Martha will be remembered for her creativity, her love for family, and the strength she showed throughout her life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
